What is holistic nutrition?
The word holistic is based on the Greek root holos, which means whole, evaluating the body as one whole functioning system. Holistic nutrition considers all aspects of a person’s life – physical, emotional and spiritual health together with diet and lifestyle and uses natural and non-invasive remedies to promote self-healing.
What is intermittent fasting and how does it fight obesity?
Intermittent Fasting is an eating pattern where you switch between periods of eating and fasting. You are able to eat normal amounts of therapeutic food, just in a smaller time frame which is called the Eating Window. When you go without food for more than 12 hours, your digestive system gets a chance to rest, and within 12 to 36 hours your body enters ketosis and starts burning fat for fuel.
